Greg,

That's funny. I was wondering the same thing. Do they smoke the chicken in the parking lot, debone it, then make this "stuff" at the store?

I don't see how it's "made" in the store. Packaged... MAYBE. I'd love to find out.

Modified Tapioca Starch......

At least chicken is the first ingredient in the chicken salad.  Who is squeezing the soy beans to make the soy bean oil?

By "made" they mean "mixed" in store.

Eric,

So what does "FRESH" imply? Maybe it means they washed their hands nicely before squirting the gunk into the chicken. dunno.

Its chicken salad right?  So if I buy a chicken and all the fixins and prepare the salad I can call it homemade? right?  I didn't have to raise the chicken did I ? ;)

When I lived overseas I remember craving something that tasted like 'home'  so I found an item advertised as "American Style".   YAY!   Nope.  Not even close.  Upon closer inspection I discovered "American Style" was the BRAND name.  Boy they can get away with alot.

PS   Did you buy it?

Corn Syrup Solids???  Isn't syrup supposed to be liquidy?  I think there are some times when ignorance is bliss.  This might be one of those times.

Greg, I see your point, I too would have thought that made in store would actually mean that particulare store!
