34 Comments on Home Stagers - The Cupids of Real Estate
Sharon, I agree with you. And you stagers are so getting so good it's difficult to not get emotionally pulled in. That's powerful marketing.
Lloyd: Thank you. It helps to have arrows to shoot too!
Love the Valentine theme Sharon, it really pulls at the heartstrings. I sometimes feel more like a Mix Master when I stage a house.
Hi Sharon--you are so right--that is what we do--have buyers fall in love. Very clever post as that holiday approaches.
Another great blog post Sharon. If I'm a cupid and I carry arrows...whom might I shoot??? (You might know who I'm thinking of. Sorry but the frustration keeps creeping in.)
Sharon, how sweet! I've never thought of myself as a cupid, although I am shaped like the one in your post! lol!
Sharon, I think you nailed it right on with "creating an emotional attachment from the buyer to the house".
Very well explained. I can see stars! ; )
Joanna: Sounds like a good post topic for you to write!
Janet: Happy Valentines Day!
Ginger: Shoot whoever you want...you are entitled! Sometimes it helps to beat the crap out of a pillow too....just say'n.
Peg: You've never played cupid in all your vast acting career?
Lydie: Seeing stars isn't usually a good thing....LOL!
HI Sharon, we really are the cupids of real estate. And your clients are lucky to have the biggest sweetheart of all helping to stage the properties for sale.
How wonderful! Perfectly appropriate year-round, too! Happy Valentine's Day, Sharon!
Sharon, I have actually! One February I dressed up in red and pink, walking with a huge heart mascot up and down the streets of Edmonton handing out flyers for a company I and others did singing telegrams for (in -15 to -20 celsius weather). Not smart, I caught a cold, but I learned a valuable lesson in what I would do again and what I would not do again... The advertising or the singing didn't pay that well, but I was thinking about the work it would bring me. When I look back on it, I think of how these people took advantage of my hubris and didn't care a wink about my health.
Happy Valentines Day! Hope yours is great!
Michelle: How very sweet of you to say! Thank you!
Julia: Happy Valentine's Day to you too!
Peg: I guess I should have known...of course you did!
Sharon- another great one.. I love how you "stage" your words and your post. I never thought of us as cupids but I like it!
Kathy: Glad you like it....I know you earned your wings a long time ago!
Hi, Sharon! I always tell my buyers that they should get that 'wedding dress' feeling.....do you remember that? When you put 'the dress' on, you just knew it!
It's all about love, isn't it?
Happy Valentine's Day, pretty lady! <3
Chris: That's a great analogy! If you haven't already, you should do a post! Happy Valentine's Day to you too!
Cupid pulls the bow . . . and, bam, bullseye, under contract! fun post that inspires the creative brain cells.
Karen: Oh how I wish it were that easy, LOL! Glad you enjoyed it!
Perfect analogy! I've actually had sellers say they fell in love with their house again after the staging was complete. It made them rethink if they wanted to sell or not. That makes you feel good.
Karen: I've only ever had a client decide to take their house off the market after staging once. It can happen.
