OK, this is probably way off topic, and from the looks of your photo you probably don't remember 1-1-3. Me? I miss 113. I was a rebellious teenager when the phone company made that change. If you called the old information, you got a recording, but it was an open line. So anybody could call and shout over the recording: "What's your name?" "What's your number?" And in the old days, heh, heh, that was the first chat room.
But on topic, when I need information, I just call my office. My office assistants at Lyon are incredibly helpful. They can look up the number and patch me through.
One day I was driving around Midtown Sacramento, trying to find an address that I did not write down. OK, it was my new hairdresser, OK, and I couldn't find his place of business. One call to the office, and I was on my way! I'm really lazy but nobody ever believes that.
For people who don't have an office assistant, then criminy, enter that 800 number!
Or you could use a GPS. My Garmin lets me sort by businesses and I can spell out the name (not while I'm driving, of course), and it feeds me back the phone number, address and then talks me through driving there. Ah, technology.
