King county, Seattle Washington area, generally has an average of 6-months of properties in inventory actively listed on the NWMLS. Today, we are exceeding 8-months of inventory, which translates into properties sitting on the market longer than we are used to here. Builders are now offering price drops, buyer bonuses, trips, free cars and anything else to entice a buyer to close a deal with them. Interest rates have squeaked down a little and money is getting easier to access. What does this mean to the "Average Joe"? It means nothing with a regular Real Estate Agent, but with me, it means we are approaching a ten-year-cycle "Buyers market" that is very powerful for the anyone looking to invest in property.
