Everyone should check what is on their credit reports ( 3 companies) annually, and by Law you can now do that for free.   Get FREE Credit Report- annualcreditreport.com- is free, but requires credit card information for verification, or call 877-322-8228 for phone order without credit card.   If you find wrong information on your credit reports ( 3 ), be sure to follow through and dispute that wrong reporting through the reporting company's dispute process to clean up your credit.

Maria, I check my credit annually and I do not recall having to use a credit card for verification.  Is this something new?
