Synergistic Results
Weltanschauung
Within the Weltanschauung I have found number #10 to be particularly insightful. Let’s take a look at it here.
ActiveRain believes that it is in the best interests of real estate professionals to build a community that is focused on educating one another. ActiveRain believes its future depends on members of all experience levels openly sharing their experiences and best practices with others in the field. This communal dialogue offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and is the way to share in the dynamism and excitement that constitutes the modern real estate business.
I think that this one shines bright here at ActiveRain. How often are we learning new things from other? Sometimes it is through a post that we read, other times a comment received or hearing about something that we never considered before. This sort of thing happens to me on a regular basis, and I’m confident that I am not alone.
Why is it important that we educate each other? It would seem to me that if we teach each other, we all get better at what we do. We learn how to market ourselves, blog efficiently, reach our local markets and much more. I’m not even in the real estate profession and I can tell you that my knowledge of your industry has exploded. All who are active here cannot help but to become better educated. It would be extremely difficult for me to gain the knowledge on my own. Where would I go? The diversity of information splattered throughout this site is unequaled.
What can I add to this mix? Each of us has experience, knowledge, and life stories that we carry. If I share that with you, you can grow as a result of our encounter. I benefit from what you have to offer too. All of us are sharing information at once, and snippets of knowledge is collected. We share what we know, and express it in our own unique way.
But we are so different, how can this work? I believe that is the beauty of all this. We are geographically separated, multiple professionals, with various levels of experience, but we all have something to share with the community. We do not know what will be picked up by others. Have you ever shared something that you learned and get a comment like “Wow, I never looked at it that way” or “You explained it in a way that makes sense to me”? We may be diverse, that may be why we can achieve that synergistic result.
If this hasn’t been your experience, maybe you need to change what you are doing. It may not happen right away, but it will happen. That feeling of growth by becoming an ActiveRain member will
come, but you have to do your part. You can’t just sign up and wait for the “magic” to happen. You have to post to your blog, comment on posts, get to know others here, and pay attention to new ideas. Getting involved is required; log in regularly, find people with similar interests by joining groups, and subscribe to those that you enjoy reading.
Ask yourself, “What are these people doing that I can try doing?” There are thousands of members that are successful here, grow by learning and doing more. There is always more to do, more to learn, more to share. In the end, we all have grown as a result of being here.
I’m looking for a few brave souls.
