Do you Rain on the Weeds?

About 1 year ago I heard the phrase "don't water the weeds".......

It refers to those buyers who we sense are tire kickers....

wanting to lowball everything.....

looking for less than $30-50k.....

or barely qualified, etc........

Although usually we would like to help everyone, often they are not worth the time....

We genuinely like to help the public; hoewever, depending upon the circumstances we are not always able to facilitate their needs.

So the question is.......

Do you Rain on the Weeds and follow up with all leads?

Hate weeds too...i've been working with a couple for a few months & i'm done after showing a house I could not find anything wrong with and the wife convinced the husband there were things wrong...perhaps they'll continue to rent! Call me later I said...there are always 1 or 2 who will suck your time up...very appropriate!

Thanks Ginny, The hard part is deciding up front who is a weed before you spend time. But sometimes you don't know until it is too late. And then you might let one go that could be a flower in terms of referrals down the road.
