The city review of the project proposed by Atlanta-based PEC Development involves almost 1,000 acres of the overall proposed 2,340-acre project spanning from Marietta Highway in Canton to Ga. 108 across from Lake Arrowhead. The proposed development includes about 3,500 homes and almost 600,000 square feet of commercial space. The higher levels of density and its commercial centers would be in the city, according to PEC Development plans for the project. Part of the city portion would be annexed into Canton under the PEC Development plan for the project. A 7-mile parkway that would run through Canton West is proposed. Funding for the project reportedly includes dollars that would be collected through a special revenue district, according to officials. This is just an indication of how much Canton GA Real Estate will be growing over the next few years as people migrate toward North Georgia.
