The Active Rain Tools Webinar - for newbies and oldies

Reblogger
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Four Seasons Realty

Rebecca this was another reminder to me that I need to watch some of the webinars. I can probably save some valuable time that I will have lost trying to "wing it". I never knew there was a list of "referrals" available. I will also figure out how the "Hit Router" works and add my local areas. Thank you for posting help for all us newbies as well as the oldies like yourwelf :)

Internet toolI attended the ActiveRain Tools Webinar today mainly to see if I could learn something new even though I have been with Active Rain since 2008.  I was sure there was some things I’ve missed since joining...so  YES .... I did learn some new things, as well as some things I forgot.   If you attend the "ActiveRain Tools" webinar you will learn the tools located on the left sidebar on your profile page.....

Learn what “Hit Router” is and how it can get you more traffic to your website......I added all the surroundings areas to my markets.

Next check out the “Referral Network”.   My suggestion,  go check out the referral network and click on each link to find how the referral exchange works, browse the list for available referrals, and post a referral.  I have never checked the available referrals for West Virginia until today.  Looks like I’ve missed some referrals.

Reblogging....I do this often. You can reblog five posts a day.

The “Read Social Blog” link...... this is one I forgot about.  It gives you a full view of posts of people you subscribe to.  A very handy link and one I will use more often.

The “signature line” was a good overview. It is added to the end of your post when published.  You can add or change your signature line located in the “Settings” and once you write a post and publish it, the signature is automatically added.  Then, anything you change in the signature line will update across every single one of your posts.

My problem is I’ve manually added my signature line in each post.  This means whatever I had there will remain.  If I add an automatic signature, then I will have two signatures for each post.  Okay now I will have to go and delete all the signature lines in each of my posts that I added manually or I will have double signatures....That’s a chore as I have 1,350 posts to change.

Don’t forget to add your listings to Active Rain.  I have done this, but unfortunately we can not add land listings at this time.   Bob Stewart says “this is on a list of enhancements that we will begin working on once the underlying code has been completely updated. We are almost done with that.”  This was good news... as I have some land listings that I would like to add to AR listings.

Even if you have been on AR for a while or you are a newbie, I highly recommend you attend the “Active Rain Tools” webinar.  Like me, you may learn something new!
