And it's getting better and better every day. Project Bridgeton Harbor is a decade long project that will change Bridgton as we know it forever. The president of the Florida development company Jupiter USA said he is using "conservative numbers" when he talks about the cost of the project, which - when fully built - is to include 840 residential units, three hotels, retail and office space, a yacht club and marina and new town facilities, including a wastewater-treatment system capable of handling even more growth in Bridgeton. On the river, a deepwater marina with 129 boat slips will be finished by February, and later development plans include a semi-private yacht club and condominiums, along with retail stores and restaurants that the company said will be a part of making the facility attractive to the public. Homes in the project will range from $200,000 to $800,000, with waterfront penthouses available for $1 million or more. The homes will be in a portion of the project called Lakes of Bridgeton Harbor and are expected to be built in later stages of the project, along with a neighborhood-shopping and town hall area. The kinds and sizes may be modified, depending on the market, and architectural integrity will be maintained throughout the project and with whatever residential builders are ultimately involved.
