What is a Favicon, you ask?  Pronounced "fave-I-con" (like, you're favorite icon), it's that little picture that shows up instead of the blue "e" in Internet Explorer when you look up a webpage. All the newest, hippest website have them! ;)

They are most often still images, but you can animate them (whether or not you should is an open question!!)

Now you can make your own favicon ... for free (yay)

Go here http://www.html-kit.com/favicon/test/553988fe16146740ce8f2769e2111627/ to see a preview of the favicon I just did.

Just in case the preview goes away, click here ... http://www.chami.com/html-kit/services/favicon/ and you will be directed to the main Favicon page.

You can make your own favicon from any picture, but you want to keep in mind these are small, so the simpler, the better.

Let me know how it goes!

Best,

Christina :)

PS. Favicons only work with IE v.5 and up...
