I am.

Despite all the negative press, and rumors floating around, this year I have closed more sides, and actually made more money than in the last 3 years.  Why?  Better marketing?  Harder work?  Luck?  I really don't know, and aren't really trying to figure it out.  I just know I am happy with my career so far, enjoy the flexability of my lifestyle, see great potential for growth, and have met some great and interesting people along the way.  To all my past clientel, many thanks for helping me feel so great about myself, and to those I encounter in the present or future....Let me show you what being passionate about your work can do for you!

This is my best year so far, but it's only my second year in real estate. I'm sure next year will be better, even if the market keep going down hill.

This year started off terrific.  By July I knew I would not meet the goals I set. Its sad when there aren't even any buyers to at least look at houses.

Everyone told me that I came into real estate at the wrong time.  But I have been extremely pleased with the year that I have had.  This is actually my first year in, and I love it!  Real estate is a roller coaster ride sometimes.  I have found that out very quickly.  But with hard work and determination one can be successful nomatter what the market is doing.

Julie, I absolutely agree, and even though your post is in 2007, I would be interested in how things are going this year. This is my first year, so I can truthfully look people in the eye and tell them it is the best year in real estate I have ever had :)...then tell them why...but it has been OK for a first year. We are pretty lucky here in the Ouachita Mountains around Hot Springs in Arkansas, due to the lakes and resort nature of the area. Things are sluggish, but not desperate. There is money to be had to purchase homes, so our market goes on. I always preferred the roller coaster at the amusement park anyway, rather than the merry-go-round. It would be interesting to see how folks are faring this year and what has worked and what has not. That is what AR is all about.

All the best,

I just talked with a termite inspector, and he said that he has been very busy this January and February...this is a good sign and before it hits the official news...but then of course, it will have a negative spin, so I guess it is up to US to put the positive spin on things.
