POSITIVITY GETS THE JOB DONE!

By
Real Estate Agent with Huntley Realty

As I have said in other posts, I NEVER am not wearing clothing that is branded.  Yesterday, I was doing some shopping and I had two people in a matter of minutes ask me about "the market."  In both cases these people were sellers who felt depressed becasue their homes haven't sold.  When I gave them my standard, "Business is great!  The market is great!" response to their questions about "the market," they were perplexed.  As they each told me their tales of woe, I explained that WE are the market!  If your home is priced right and marketed well, it should be sold.  It's simple.  There isn't any magic.  It takes POSITIVITY to sell Real Estate.  As sellers, they needed to have their expectations managed by their professional REALTOR and they needed to take some responsibility for their own situation.  I continued, if you go around telling everyone that your home hasn't sold, that it may never sell, guess what?  You have to create POSITIVITY!  You have to make it happen!  You have to will your house to sell!  In both cases the people were thankful for the boost and walked away feeling better about their situations.

I fell better for passing on my POSITIVITY and I hope it works for them.  I didn't give them a business card and I don't want to steal the listings.  I simply want people to understand that we are the market!  If you listen to the media, especially the national media, nobody is selling anything, any where.  We, here at AR, know better!

MAKE IT A GREAT WEEK!

I'm feeling you brother.  Perception is reality.  Let the competition moan and groan, I'm too busy to participate.

Why didn't you give them your card so they know who to call when the listing expires?

Cool, it's nice to hear the people didn't steer clear of you because you are a Realtor.

How low can prices get before everything becomes a short sale?  Price is one thing but the ratio of buyers to listings is another.  You can't sell for any price if no one is buying.

Thanks!

Jennifer: That's the point!  People are buying!  You need to re-read my post and I'd like to suggest that you visit www.simpletruths.com and purchase a book called "The Strangest Secret." It changed my life.  I give it to all of my clients and I purchased a copy for everyone on my office.  Get yourself a quick shot of POSITIVITY!
