Parker is preparing for its annual Christmas Carriage Parade on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. The residents have become accustom to this town's tradition and are not so patiently awaiting the date. Come early, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Winter Market and Craft Fair located at the Mainstreet Center, 19650 E. Mainstreet will commence. Watch for the horse-drawn carriages, wagons and stage coaches. They don't call Parker a "Town" for nothing! This day is sure to please with Santa, Pony rides for the little ones and a Petting Zoo. Ensure to stop by and Ruth's Chapel located next to the Mainstreet Center to take photos with Jolly Old Clause himself.
Douglas County Parker, CO Mayor's Annual Tree Lighting
Parker is getting ready to kick off the holiday season at the Mayor's Annual Tree Lighting Event on Nov. 23 at 5 p.m. From 5:00-5:30 enjoy eggnog and cookies from the local girl scouts and Lion's Club's Walking Chili. The festivities will start with holiday music from Frontier Valley Elementary School and Sagewood Middle School. There are so many different organizations around town that are helping Parker Task Force food drive hit their goal this year. Bring a donation to the event and admission is free.
