Pink Orphaned Shoes

Who do these "wheels" belong to? I saw them today at Bonita Beach and had to snap a picture.  I then thought...

How great would your life be if you were so excited about who you are, where you were going and what you were about to do that you just ran out of your shoes and abandoned them.  Right there where you were standing - just dropped 'em and trusted they'd be there when you got back.  How I wish these were my shoes.

Don't you just wish these shoes were yours?

I have albums of shoes photos from Bonita Beach.  Everyone gets to the end of the boardwalk that leads from the parking lot, over the sea oat dunes to the gulf and they get a good look at it all and just walk right out of their shoes.  There are always a pile of shoes patiently waiting for their owners to return.

I guess our beach is mesmerizing.  This is what they see that makes they walk away without thought or worry that their shoes will be taken:

That photo is breathtaking!  I would frame that and put it on my wall.  So serene!  Thanks for sharing!

Those crocs are ADORABLE.  I just saw the cutest little blue pair on a friends 18 month old son today, they look so comfy on little ones.

As always, your pictures are breath taking, the perfect picture to look at on a cold , nasty, rainy NJ day.

What was that Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines movie where they thought something was wrong because everyone was watching the sunset in Florida? I was in Naples 20 years ago and still remember the beautiful beaches and sunsets. OH, and crab legs at a bar somewhere where the boats came in!

Chris - this is a cool post. Great photos, and the idea of what the pink crocs represents is fun and free.

Chris, Nice photo and a fun post. In a different point of view I am reminded of my Grandfather. He would have looked at those and said, " Those are not shoes, they are shoe substitutes. " :)

The crocs are cool. Usely I see "not so cool" shoes on the beach.  Yes the sun set shot takes ones breath away.Shoes do tell a story. The sea is timeless.

Chris, you have reminded me that it has been too long since I have run "out of my shoes". Isn't it amazing how it seems you just lose something like that over time?

Chris-- this post reminds me of my hubby.  For some reason, he never adjusted to wearing shoes.  He loves to go barefooted, and kicks off his shoes when we are walking the dogs all of the time.  Well, a few days ago, we went to the park, he kicked off his shoes, and we did our 45 minute dog-walk.  He forgot about his shoes and walked home without them.  Oddly enough, they were gone the next day!  When are you moving to my side of the world?

Chris are you sure they aren't your shoes?  Love hot pink...but also what a great point and an interesting thing to ponder.  To just leave my shoes?  Hmmmm...can't say I did but you are right it must have been something awesome....really I like the shoes!
