There was a lot of activity in the Back Bay the last month of the year. Some people are more highly motivated to sell and that is why we have more properties on the market. With people motivated to sell and buyers motivated to get the tax advantages of buying it was a good month. The days on market for condos in Back Bay is still way too long, but with the number of sales going up and those DOM going down this can be considered positive movement.

A 97% Sales Price to List Price is a very good sign for the December sales. Buyers were willing to pay the correct price for a home which usually means that the homes were put on the market at the right price to begin with. The Expired listings were on the market for way too long, probably because the owners were not willing to put their properties on the market for the right price.
