Is anyone else's head spinning like mine? Geeze, everything is changing! I realize that nothing remains the same but in the "good ole' days" they stayed the same for a lot longer. And, the changes were not just slammed in your face! Changes happened gradually with plenty of time and acceptance to get a grip on how we need to do things. In fact, gas prices did not jump so hard in a day! Fashions changed from a butterfly collar to a straight angled collar and the rest of the blouse was the same.  One digit was added to our phone number at a time and  our lives moved a lot slower.

Children today, by the time they are two, are playing games on Smart Phones and learning to read on the computer. Computers and technology are simply a part of their lives and they adapt as easily as the wind shifts...
ActiveRain is changing

Then there's me.

And, probably a few of you too that just don't catch on that easily!

I hit a button on FB the other day and up popped a screen I had never seen and I really hate the change! I want my own screen back but I can't find it.

Now, I read and see that ActiveRain is going to start messing with my head too...why oh why must you do this to me ActiveRain????

I'm an old dog and it's tough to teach me new tricks!old dog, new tricks

Okay, I know you are simply trying to make a great site better but take it slow and easy on us please! I understand that women in my age group, (still going on 39), are your heaviest users. Surely I can't be the only one worried about readapting!!!

I have to think hard and heavy when I go to change clothes!

I'm just a little worried and will attempt to learn without trepidation.

I love you just the way you are! Be gentle!

Deb, I was shocked to when I came in this morning.  Now that I have found all the buttons I need to work the way I worked with the other platform I am happy.  We just want to walk a path.  Imagine the seasons changed and your regular path is covered in snow.  This may be difficult in TX, I know.

Deb...you'll be just fine!  Take it one step at a time....and you'll get there.  I hear agents complain everytime new contracts come out, or MLS changes things but - you know what - it's almost always been for the better - a lot better.  Hang in there!!

Deb, it's not all that different... and you'll do fine.  But I do hate all the changes everywhere that are "slammed in your face"  And didn't you mean 29 and counting?  I just know it was a misprint!

Debb just take a deep breath and spend time tinkering around in the Rain.  It's not like we can break it so we might as well surf around in it.  Now Facebook really has a mess and I'm not liking those changes at all but hey.... What can we do? If we want to play we must go with the change.

I agree.  I am not sure I like the new home page.  It's hard for me to navigate as I need to find out where stuff is.  It's a bit slow going, but I will figure it out I am sure.  Change is rough, but hopefully we will end up liking it :)!  So far though...I dunno

Deb - This has been a tough week with many changes. I'm feeling a little anxious. I guess we'll all figure it out sooner or later!

Hi Deb! I don't like change, but eventually I'll get used to it. The new AR homepage probably looks better than the last one. I did finally find all of the links and buttons that were more visible on the last page design. It's not so bad. Now, the new Facebook Timeline is a different story......!

Breathe . . .

They say a change is as good as a rest!

(who ' they'  are I do not know)

I'm still on a learning curve with my ipad and my iphone so this is a cinch, LOL

Loved your statement, "I have to think hard and heavy when I go to change clothes." It takes all of us to make the world go around. I thrive on change! When FB announced the new Timeline, I got it right away. This morning, when I logged into ActiveRain I said, "Oh cool! It changed!"

But, I do feel for those of you who don't like change because I have kids and a boyfriend who loves things to stay the same. --- well, I'm off to rearrange the furniture.  Ta-Dah!

Hey Stranger!  Where have you been?  Hope things are going well for you.  I am crazy busy and have really seen things moving.  Glad to see you back.

Deb, the change in gasoline prices TWICE in a day and jumps of 10 cents at a time are freaking me out. I so see the world the same way you do with the speed of change. Mind blowing for sure !!!

I just blogged this change yesterday then logged on today with trepedation. It took me some time to figure out how to find the blog roll, not just my home page stuff. In good time my dear, it will be 2nd nature, like riding a bike.

Deb

The only thing that stays the same is change.

Good luck and success.

Deb,

Change is good. A new challenge to conquer. The sad part is once it is finally figured out they will change it again.

Make it a great day !!

I know what you mean. Those comments that come with pictures take up so much room on the home page. And if you want to check your clicks per post, you have to go into traffic.

I, for one, hate the change here on AR.  It makes me feel isolated and is ugly.  You know me, I'm not a complainer, but I dislike it enough to not want to be here.

Deb~So, you'll appreciate this...I liked the BIGGER FONT. I could read it more easily. So, that was the POSITIVE. Then, of course no notifications coming to our e-mail...I just thought no one loved me anymore--okay so that was a negative. It took me awhile to find my subscribers, that was a change and I decided not to get too mad at myself when I kept hitting "settings" thinking (dumbly) it HAS TO BE HERE.

But, since I'm on my own a lot in my own little Fishhawk Lake world, I don't have anyone to talk with so I just figure it out myself. Then, most likely have to REPEAT it several times so that I actually REMEMBER how I got there, or write it down.

I'm more bummed about PicNik going away! But, God bless Craig Daniels who came to our rescue--AGAIN. See, I am ending with a positive! (And you are like that, too, so you'll find the pony in the poop so-to-speak).

I think that it's very possible in ten years from now, we'll be looking back to today and saying "remember the good old days, when life was much more simple and things didn't move nearly as fast".
