Last Sunday was not much different than most. I got up early, printed flyers, showered and dressed and headed out. First stop was the grocery store for balloons. Next stops were advanagous street corners where I planted Open House signs decorated with red balloons. Last stop was the house I was holding Open in Roswell Georgia.
Hubby came with me to keep me company.
In between visitors, we checked out the house.
It's a foreclosure and is actually in pretty good
shape as far as foreclosures go. The house is in a gated
community and is way too big for just the 2 of us but we
dreamed anyway. We went through all 6 bedrooms trying
to visualize them furnished and with fresh paint. We
imagined all the clothes we could keep in the any huge
closets. Summer clothes here, winter clothes there.
The master bath was enormous.
His and hers sinks on opposite sides
of the room. A huge shower with a bench
and a wonderful tub overlooking the backyard.
The greatroom was had windows galore.
It was airy and bright. The amber wood
floors and wood framed fireplace made
the greatroom warm and comfy.
We went down to the unfinished basement and when we closed our eyes,
We saw media rooms, pool tables, craft areas... the possibilities were endless.
It was fun pretending.
Several folks stopped by.
Everyone that came through was pleasant and
signed in when asked to but no one gave me a
valid email address or phone number.
Oh well. Maybe next weekend?
Time to go and make the trip back home.
I turned off all the lights, locked the doors,
and took my sign out of the front yard.
I headed home while my dear sweet hubby
went to the street corners and gathered up
the 5 signs I had planted, balloons still attached.
When we got home, the neighborhood kids were playing in the cul-de-sac.
One had just recently learned to ride her bike without training wheels.
They all hollered hello to me as I pulled into my driveway.
The kids love it when I hold Open Houses.
They know that I always bring them the balloons
that were tied to my signs.
I love to see their happy faces when they get
the balloons to play with. I love coming home!
Here are pics of 3 of the 5 kids that I
usually give balloons to.
Here are pics of 3 of the 5 kids I ususally
give the balloons to.
The boys are brothers Stephan and Christos.
The little cutie in the middle is Oliva.
