Best Time to See A Movie

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Platinum

So, when is the best time to see that always sold-out movie?

You're most likely to get into a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday matinee.  Plus, you get the bonuses of cheaper tickets and possible concession stand promotions.  If you want that crowd experience, go to a Friday or Saturday 7pm or 9pm show.  Most theaters let you buy tickets online as soon as the schedule comes out---anywhere between seven and fourteen days in advance.  If you don't want the plot spoiled by water-cooler conversation, go the afternoon of the first day it opens!

Good morning Kristine. Great post, funny subject. I haven't been to a movie in the theatre in years. For me it's either on TV or when I fly. Good idea.

Kristen, these days for me the best time to see a movie is when it comes out on DVD. This way its free when rented from the library, and I've already heard the reviews.

Hi Kristin,

My sister and I meet every other week for lunch and a movie.  It's usually a Tuesday or Wednesday.  It's a great break from reality, and we look forward to seeing each other and catching up.
