Thankful Thursdays: Red dirt between their toes!

Thankful Thursdays: Red dirt between their toes!

There's nothing like the smell of freshly turned soil first thing in the morning! The rich red-orange-tan tones mixing together, creating the exciting promise of another custom home in the Cliffs of Snow Canyon.

  • First: The contractor chalks lines representing the floor plan on the lot to ensure the best fit and ideal location for the home.
  • Second: My clients, with original floor plan in hand, walk the perimeter, thoroughly discussing changes, imagining the placement of the many rooms plus floor to ceiling windows offering optimum views of the dramatic Red Rock cliffs and Snow Canyon State Park.
  • Third: The dirt work begins!

Soon, a specially designed home will emerge from the ground, becoming vertical in a matter of days. My clients are so excited and I am thrilled for them! Look at the view from the lot, it holds the promise of amazing sunrises with vibrant sunsets and many an evening spent on the rooftop patio entertaining guests or reserved for quiet reflection.

C Blake Homes will be employing their vast construction knowledge and one-of-a-kind skillset on this new build job. Carey Blake, owner, has been playing in the dirt all his life in construction with wife Brenda at his side. She is an interior designer for C Blake Homes whose utilization of colors, textures and small nuances set her apart from others and exceeds customer expectations every time.

I am indeed Thankful for trusting relationships; a builder who always puts customers first and clients who wish to feel the southern Utah red dirt between their toes!

Connie, When everything finally comes together, it is an exciting time for clients (me too!)! I went by yesterday and the contractors are at the plumbing stage already.

Ahhh! the red soil is the first thing I notice and the wide open skies. Best of luck to your clients as they get to build that wonderful home.

Nice to see ground breaking again.

I like the buyers to be around when the home is lai out on the lot.  It stops one of the big complaints I hear.

Chris, Southern Utah has much to offer!

Roger, It is a great time to build here in southern Utah while construction costs are still reasonable!

Gerry, If you come to visit, do not wear white socks, the red stain will forever be held within the fibers! That was the warning I got when we first visited this place back in the early 70s!

Personally I prefer the scent of coffee in the morning to dirt! But I do like seeing new construction. That just means more jobs, new homes, and the economy is heading in a positive direction.
