LAS VEGAS - Under pressure in a feisty debate, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused her closest rivals Thursday night of slinging mud "right out of the Republican playbook" and leveled her sharpest criticism of the campaign at their records.

This post is not about my political views.  It is about a FABULOUS quote by Hillary.  "They're not attacking me because I'm a woman. They're attacking me because I'm ahead," she said to loud applause from the audience.

I see & hear agents complaining about other agents all the time.  Rarely are the complaints valid in my opinion.  One thing that seems to remain constant is that the more business agents are doing, the more people want to attack them.

I'm just thinking that maybe it makes more sense to build ourselves up to the level we desire as opposed to tearing others down to make ourselves feel superior.

Just a thought.

It's a good thought!  I suppose not being around to hear the gossip is even more reason to office from home.

I watched part of the debates tonight, was tempted to go down and join the crouds at the Thomas and Mack.  At least when I watched them on TV I could turn the TV off when the garbage got too heavy!  I work from home mostly and try to stay away from the office politics!  Code of Ethics says the bad mouthing another REALTOR® is a huge NO-NO!   Did you get to any of the NAR convention Sue?

Amanda:  I hear that!

Mary:  So true!!  I didn't make it to NAR as we are in Idaho getting our office set up here.  By the way, we joined Keller Williams in Idaho (under new ownership) and we are SO excited about the opportunity!  Maybe I'll see you at a Family Reunion or other KW event!

Yep, I watched I and some say she did much better than at the last debate.

Yes, I agree you can't say anything untruthful about another Realtor.

Didn't know you were moving to Idaho!  Lucky you!  If we could ever sell our place we could decide where we want to live next!  KW is a good office to go with.....I'm just not a whole lot into their 'family' stuff.  I've got a family :); and I've got a Christian Family; that's all I need :)  sound snobbish?

Armando:  She seemed pretty strong in her views.

Mary:  We are actually going to work in both Las Vegas and Idaho, moving towards Idaho in the next few years.  Right now it's an expansion, not a relocation YET!  I don't know much about the FAMILY stuff with KW, but I definitely like the rest of the values & ideals they seem to operate from.

Sue-how ironic this post is.  I was sitting down with my broker in conversation about some pretty harsh comments that were made to me this past week by another agent in our office.  He has been in the business for 3 years, me just a little over 1 year. In April I was blessed with an opportunity to be hired by 2 families to handle their commercial sell (homes rezoned commercial).  After putting in the applications and going through the rezoning with my clients, another property owner approached me and now I will be handling professional office leases for him.  I didn't seek this out, it found me.  I'm eternally grateful for this opportunity.  I only give facts, I never lead people to believe I'm something that I'm not. But this agent has a problem with me doing anything at all in the commercial side.  My broker is supportive and that is the important thing.  My clients believe in me and that is what matters most.  This is a situation where I wish people would leave it alone and let me grow in the direction God wants me to grow.

Nothing seems to promote criticism/envy like success.

As to politics...I would not characterize either the last or current debate as mud-slinging. But hey if you cannot refute... attack ;) Or as Nixon is alleged to have once said..."if all else fails deny you were there".

Sue...I'm not big on the "Family" @ KW...altho, I'm in the minority, at least at my office.  I kinda stick to myself...I'm sure I'm looked on as unfriendly.  I have my family!  Plus my church family and my friends.  I don't have enough time to have another family :)
