NYC Looking South

It's a long day, but a good day in New York City. I shot this photo at the end of
an evening photo flight over the Bronx, New York.

On our way back to the airport we transitioned from the Harlem River
to the northwest, and on to Spuyton Duyvil and the Hudson River corridor.

Good morning Andre,

I'm ready to jump on a plane to visit.  I've been reading a book set in NYC, every night I dream of the restuarants, night life (and in this case murder..lol...just kidding)  Your pictures just add to my escape in reading.

Andre, your work is really inspiring.  What a shot-not only the detail and the sense of length of the island, but the colors! Wowie!

I just love these aerial shots.  Beautiful picture but I hate to think about being in that helicopter taking them!

Awesome shot Andre - I love the color of the sky and how you can see the outline of the empire state Building in the background! This is a prized shot as only you can capture!

Nice!  Great capture of New York City -- love the nuances of color throughout too!

As always your photos of NYC are inspirational. I don't know that i would have the courage to get in a helicopter? or small plane to do that. I think i'll stick to my two feet on the ground and take my photos from that perspective for now. Or.. maybe a hot air balloon??

I have to agree.  I love the aerial shots but would never get in the helicopter to get them.

Hi Carie, Yup Thats the fog and the setting sun at play. The color of the sky changes quickly at this time, as the sun sets behind the mountains in Jersey.
