Hi Everyone,

I just thought that I would share with you information I found about the 3rd quarter home  foreclosure statistics that were just published by USA today.

It shows seven cities in California, five in Florida and for some reason five in Ohio with the highest foreclosure rates. Tucson came in at number 34 with one out of every 162 households filing.

According to our Tucson MLS Stats for October 2007, the new escrows in the month of October exceeded this time last year. There is an increase in closed units sold by 190 over the month of September.

There is also good news in that the amount of active home listings has declined for the fifth consecutive month... a good sign of  market stabilization. Our medium home sales price remains the same as last year $220,000.

Check out the real estate foreclosure list and see if you made it!!!

We have an abundance of foreclosures in Sacramento, but they are mostly isolated to certain neighborhoods -- those which are economically depressed and those where builders went hog wild. Many other areas, especially desirable areas close to the capitol core, are holding their own and some are appreciating.

I'm glad to see that Olympia, WA is not on the list, but I was surprised to see Seattle, Tacoma and Vancouver.
