Video Blog Test Drive - Come Ride with Me!

It was an absolutely gorgeous day yesterday in many ways.

I had a nice conversation with Jeanean Gendron, AR Ambassador and my friend in Shasta. 

I received permission to close on a BofA HAFA short sale. It was not received in time for the buyers’ loan to fund, however it will fund today and we will record on Friday. 

I used the video feature on my new camera today for the first time.  2011 plan was to incorporate video into my business.  That didn’t happen. 

It’s going to happen in 2012 because my test drive video was successful.

Thank you David Ames and Jane Grant for your auto-video inspiration!

 I do recommend video.  Once I learned how to start and stop the video on the new camera, the rest was easy. 

 

 
Tomorrow I will video a new construction site!

Well holy dang!  I could see it ... thanks for letting me know.  I will fix it!  What a hoot.  I thought if I made it private by posting here everyone could see it. WRONG!  LOL - More to learn before the construction video is posted.

The "watch on youtube" link works and it plays fine.  The video bounces a bit but there are ways to fix that.  Marilyn Boudreaux does videos like this from her car and they're stable.  Can't recall how she did it so you might ask her.

Bryan,  Thanks.  It was literally my first shot at it.  I wasn't even sure when I was recording if it would work or if I could use it.  Ideally, I would have someone in my car holding the camera.  The claw device that I bought for my HD Flip (camera is a true flop) fits my new camera.  I will try using it on the next run.  Thanks for your comment.

Kathleen, there is an adjustment on You Tube that takes the "shaking" out of the video, which I learned last week.   It is definitely a learning experience!   AND, you ran a red light....oops!   LOL    It is good you have it on your 2012 plan, as I think those who have been doing them are WAY ahead of us!

Hi Kathleen... congrats to you for your video!!  Good job. 

But, please, next time do two things... 1) don't run a red light LOL LOL; and 2) don't hold any electronic device while you're driving!!!!  (I think David has some kind of double sided tape or something that holds his IPhone on his dash board...)

Joan,Thanks for the tip. I will look for that.  I think my learning will have more to do with YouTube than my new camera.  I was concerned about learning the camera (LOL)!  That's why it is so important to just get started by taking the first step. Thanks for your comment.

Peggy, LOL ... it proves you watched it ... it's why this is a members only post and why it is not public on YouTube. I have a device that screws into the bottom of the camera that I can attached to - don't know what yet - but I will figure something out.  That way I can drive and talk which can be challenging enough! Thanks for stopping by.

Cheryl,LOL - it was all a little distracting.  Talking, holding the camera, oh yeah, and driving.  Gheez, hands free for me now.  I rarely talk on my cell when driving. When I do, I am hands-free. This was a pilot video ... now I have it all dialed in.  If you have an iPhone ... you are video-ready! Thanks for stopping by.

Mel,  Busted!  I took two videos yesterday but they did not come out they way I wanted.  I'm heading out again early this morning to give it one last shot.  Good, Bad or Ugly ..., it will be my second video for the Jan. Challenge.  Thanks for stoppiny by.
