Liniger was recently named the “People’s Choice Most Influential Real Estate Leader” by Inman News. As you’ll see below, what Liniger discusses heavily relates to the importance of using a real estate CRM.

Liniger makes a number of key points. He says that change is accelerating at a faster and faster pace and that we need to embrace this change. He mentions that two or three years ago many of us never heard of an iPhone or knew even what an app or wireless sync was. According to Liniger, REALTORS® need to embrace technology and those that fully do will be the ones leading the real estate business moving into the future.

Real estate sales professionals who go on with their career without fully understanding technology and how it can benefit them (and then subsequently making use of this technology to improve their business) can lead themselves down a slippery slope.

If you’re still holding on to the reigns of the past, if, for instance, you’re still managing your contact information on pieces of paper, change is in order.

According to a recent study by ActiveRain, the single largest difference between the most successful real estate agents (those making over $100,000 per year) and the least successful ones (those making less than $35,000 per year) is that the most successful ones used a real estate CRM. This is pretty powerful. ActiveRain also found that those agents making more than $100K annually actually invested six times as much in technology as those making under $35K annually.

I contanstly tell collegaues that as the internet generation gets older and beggin to buy their first homes, they will no doubt turn to the internet.   Furthermore, you would look up say, a painter, an electrician, or a plumber (not to knock any of those professions) up online to see what services they offer and if there are any customer reviews.  So why wouldn't you do the same for your business?  Anybody that is resisting online marketing, in my opinion, risks leaving their carreer in the dust.

Hi Bob- you're right, the first thing people do when they want more information about someone, something, a service, whatever, is Google them. Those who embrace technology will be able to benefit from the tremendous value it can bring to their business.
