Motivational Power Quote

Less Stress

“Much of the stress that people feel doesn’t come

from having too much to do.

It comes from not finishing what they started.”

David Allen, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

Less stress

A task that’s left unfinished is the root cause of enormous stress.

A task that you’re working on with a time frame to finish it is a work in progress. A task that you’re procrastinating on is a cause of stress; the longer the task goes without being completed the more the stress levels increases.

We all have work in progress pay attention to what has to be done and keep it on schedule. You may feel time pressure on getting the task competed, but it’s far less then when the task goes unfinished.

With the tasks that have been kind of hanging out there, indentify the next step that will be needed to move the task forward and to break the bottleneck that have holding you back from competing the task.

When you break the bottleneck you will reduce your stress and clear your head. You will get a clear picture on what will have to be done to successful complete the task.

Break the bottleneck and focus on completing the task and you will have less stress in your life.

I think that doing our work in a timely manner will also cut the stress in our lives.

Lou,

I do believe that most of our work related stress comes from uncompleted tasks.

Hi Lou, there is always great feeling of accomplishment whenever we complete a task, or something that we start. Not finishing, stopping short of our goals can be frustrating and stressful.

Stess is an overworked term. It is defined as some many things, most considered bad. I see stress as a normal part of everyday life.

So true. Better to have many tasks completed and one to start than many only partially done. Enjoy your day!
