magnetic car sign on my Maui Honda

Does anybody have those magnetic signs on their car?  Are you using this marketing opportunity?  Our broker strongly recommends that his agents use these signs as a way of standing out above the crowd.  It's a low cost investment in your business, and it just might bring big rewards

I have found my signs to be helpful when I'm cruising to a showing on Maui, and meeting another agent for the first time.  As soon as they see my car, they know who I am and don't have to ask.  Likewise with meeting a client for the first time.  We often "meet" clients on-line, and then arrange a real meeting at a listed condo or home for sale.  It's great to be instantly recognizable, and make it easy for the client to find you.

In the upscale Wailea neighborhood, an agent is not allowed to put signs in the ground, which makes signage for an open house kind of challenging.  With the car signs, you can have some OPEN HOUSE signs on your car to encourage walk-in traffic.

Here on Maui you can get signs made at a number of locations, and they can be ready in a few days.

Some other reasons to use the car signs:red flower log for Jim Sanders Realty Inc.

  • make it easier to find your car in large parking lots
  • avoid some scratches and dings in your doors
  • you'll be a better driver when you're so visible

 See you around!

Getting my signs ordered next week. Every bit of advertising / public exposure will help.....you never know, might actually get some business out of it.

I was thinking about getting signs for our cars - you're right, every little bit of exposure is good and I like the idea of having the signs on the car for clients or other people you are meeting so they know who you are.

In our area you have to watch out.  Some HOA and Condo association believe the signs on your car mean it is a "commercial" vehicle and you will get up in the morning and find your car towed.  Happened to an agent in my office...TWICE!

Those sign really work too.  A number of years back, I ran a landscape company, put signs on all the truck doors.  Our call and work volume skyrocketed.

Cindy - Wow, that's infortunate.  I'll take my signs off when I want to be "under the radar".  That's what is so nice about the magnetic ones.

Thanks for the link on where to make them. Some of the Century 21 agents have them. But what if you drive like a mainland racer? I guess that wouldn't be very good lol. I always liked the Hibiscus flower Jim used in his logo. Mahalo for the link.

Jeffery - I find that I tend to drive a little more courteously when I have the signs on.  There's too many crazy kooks on the road, no need to agravate them more.

Georgina, I recommend everyone get one!  I tell all of our agents to use them because it is the best advertisement at a real low cost.  Great post!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and everyone on this post!
