The Activerain Players.

I wrote a post last week on Time vs. Money and mentioned that people should subscribe to Jonathan Washburn, one of the founders of Activerain. I was surprised that some people had an ahh haa moment about subscribing to Jonathan.

I wanted to point out a few other Activerain dudes and gals that I follow here that I believe we would be remiss for you not to follow in their posts.

Matt Heaton CEOMatt Heaton, CEO of Activerain. Duhhh..........

Lydia, Matt's wifeLydia Heaton, wife of Matt Heaton who blogs and plans a number of the Activerain get togethers.

 Sara Washburn, Jon's wife

Sara Washburn, Jonathans wife and excellent blogger and loves to share art work and her unique perspectives.

 Bob Stewart and son

Bob Stewart, who heads up the advertising on Activerain but is also a fun blogger to read.

 Nicole Rae

Nicole Rae, Activerain staff that is responsible for cleaning up a lot (most of) the flagged posts and doing a great job at it.

  AKA Code Monkey

Ben Wisely, I believe does the programming, TLW reminder me of him. I think he is nick named Code Monkey but he also has a profile on AR. Sorry Ben, I've seen your name but didn't really know you or exactly what you did.

How often do we in life get to interact with the CEO's and staff in a company?  Well, now is your chance.

Do you think Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, or Dave Liniger interacts with all the people in their company? I think not.

But, here on Activerain we do have the opportunity to follow the principals thoughts and musings.

Anyone else I forgot let me know....

Definitely one reason why this is such a great place to be!  I have seen so many wants and needs listened to and either implemented immediately or given a reason why they are not implemented right now.

Missy..... I talk to Bill Gates daily. He even calls me. Oh, there is another Bill Gates, but not the one from Microsoft.... my bad.... lol

Hey, I don't need Michigan to beat Ohio State now. Ohio State is one number behind WVU. But I am actually still cheering for the Wolverines.

Hi Missy, In my previous life I interacted with CEO's/CFO's etc. for big Cable Companies all over North America. I always wondered what it would be like at a small company. My hubby started at Cisco systems on the East Coast when it just got started (ok, he got lucky). The point is- we are at the forefront of the future of real estate and internet marketing and we are lucky to have the expertise of the Washburns, the Heatons, Nicole Rae, and others. The growth of AR is exciting and I look forward to the next Chapter.

Missy- Thanks for letting us know about all of these people. I had no idea they blogged, who they are on AR and that we can interact with them until I read your post about Bob Stewart. Katerina

Missy - Thanks for adding all the company staff together. The first two months on AR I had no clue who was behind the Active Rain curtain. I have dealt mainly with Bob, who is nothing short of amazing to work with. Keep an eye out for my next "Match Me With My Wheels" challenge, it should be alot of fun. Bob suggested a different twist and it should be a lot of fun!! Thanks. I had no idea about Cory, glad we learned of him too.

Missy-Thanks....funny but I read one of Sarah's posts, but never put 2 and 2 together that she was Jonathans wife :)  Guess it doesn't matter as each has their own thing they bring to the table.....and I love Frans statement they do all look so young :) :)

Missy thank you for the list. This great to have and I will start subscribing to some of their blogs. You're right what come out there can you interact so much with the CEO's Your Orlando & Lake Mary Real Estate Expert, Heather Joubran

11/19/2007 06:35 PM by Orlando & Lake Mary Real Estate Agent, First Time Home Buyers & Luxury Market (RE/MAX Central Realty)

My first reaction to the faces you posted is "WOW they are all so young!" But then again why should that surprise me. My 19 year old son and 15 year old daughter are designing and developing their own blogs and mastering computer skills that I may never comprehend. So go figure. We will all be learning so much from the Gen Ys and Gen Xs in the remainder of our days here. They are so much more advanced with the tech stuff! I am trying to catch up though.

Thanks for the great info. I am new at this and was not familiar with any of them.

Hi Missy, I just heard the name Code Monkey mentioned today in a blog and had to check out some of the posts. Somehow I missed Code Monkey the 1st time around.

11/23/2007 11:06 AM by Tracy Santrock - Cary NC Real Estate Blog (Fonville Morisey)

Missy...

Ah. Ha. You posted "Code Monkey" ...

I didn't get back to you cuzz I decided to check with him and see if it was okay to put him in your blog.

I did that because he is hiding in the rain :)

He did say it was okay. No worries :)

And for all who wish to know Ben Wiseley is the head "Code Monkey" on AR. He is in charge of all the codes and keeping AR up and running smoothly.

There can only be one "Code Monkey" ...

Look out for him...He's an anarchist and takes great pride in that :)

He also has a wonderful sense of humor and took being dubbed "Code Monkey" very well :)

TLW...ROAR!

11/23/2007 06:04 PM by "The Lovely Wife"...Broker Bryant's Wife... (Co-Owner Tutas Towne Realty, Inc.)

Actually - I'm not the head "Code Monkey"... but I'm not sure who is  (anarchy anyone?) :)  FYI - Code Monkey is a derogatory term for a total "hack" of a programmer (where hack is the "old" school definition ... aka 1/2 ass) ... it's kind of an insider insult in the coding community.  But - hey - I'm fine with it - titles suck  (anarchy!).

ps - not really an anarchist - more of an extreme libertarian (let me know when you find a country that's libertarian!, until then, anarchist).

pss - TLW is allowed to call me what ever she wants!

11/23/2007 06:29 PM by Ben Wiseley (ActiveRain)

Code Monkey...

You're the head "Code Monkey" in my AR book :)

Are you calling me "Old" ?? :)

Keep it up and I'll add a few more nicknames just to see how many people I confuse. They have your email now. LOL.

Anarchy it is then :)

TLW...ROAR!

11/23/2007 06:33 PM by "The Lovely Wife"...Broker Bryant's Wife... (Co-Owner Tutas Towne Realty, Inc.)

TLW, Sally, also mentioned Corey in her comments, who  I don't know and never heard of and didn't have a blog, so I left him in the comments. I have no clue what he does or would have added him in. Ben, if you know and want to send me his job description, I'll edit the post. Not my intent to leave him out, but just for the community to subscribe to the families.

Ben, thanks for commenting, and I'll let you know if I find a libertarian country. Thanks for all you do, and the explanation of what a code monkey is.......LOL So since it is a derogatory term, what shall all of us but TLW, call you ? Did you house ever sell ? I never heard a follow up on it.
