I know this is silly, but have you ever stopped for a moment to review the percentage of your blog posts that have NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE COMMENT?

My Dr. John has been profiling his infamous Active Rain Characters over the past couple of weeks, and the last one had no comments.  I was curious.  I know these profiles are a "little edgy" -- entirely candid, however, but not one comment on the latest?

So, I thought: How many of my posts have no comments?  I reviewed the 80 posts I've written and found that "6" had no comments, most of which occurred in the first week of my blogging.  That's a strike out average of 7.5% (i.e., 6 divided by 80).

Hmmm?  So that means my AR Batting Average is 92.5% (that's an A or A- depending on the grading system).

I know this is silly...but it's Saturday morning!

Thanks, Michael-- you're a great team player, or are you an even greater dugout manager?

You're on your way, Lisa (I'll drop by and say hello!).

Some types of posts, listing especially, usually don't get comments. I think that's understandable.

Terry...

I really don't know what my 'true' batting average is. Quite some time ago I deleted a handful of my earlier blog posts.

I have no idea whether or not they had comments.

By the way...I am afraid to comment on your AR Characters. You're gonna 'catorgize' me :)

TLW...ROAR!

It is funny when you look at which ones get the most comments and which ones get only a few...

Hey TLW -- you're almost always a breath of fresh air, and I'd give you a bunch of pluses.  However, my Dr. John has characterized you.  He says you're the LWBWhat do you think it means?

Thanks, Karen, I know we do crazy things and think wild thoughts on Saturday morning.  Maybe we'll give you a call the next time we're in your area -- we (I accompany my hubby) go back to D.C. a couple times a year for Hill business where he represents a few clients.

Hi Hugh -- always a kind word from you.  Thanks, not that it's expected from a Gideon :-).  We just returned from a holiday dinner at an assisted living facility that has a heart for bringing families together.

Hey "Coach" -- not sure what you're alluding to, Chris, but I know it's been observed under theumbrella that at times really thoughtful and well-designed posts get a couple of hits, while rants do very well.

My husband asked me to ask you if they're still surfing "C" Street in San Clemente -- he has many great memories of "C" Street breaking outside.  (I have no idea what he's talking about.)
