Blog Editing Etiquette

By

As a new Rainer, I like to know whether it is considered good or bad etiquette to edit your blogs.  I have read about so many ways to improve blogs since I started mine a couple of weeks ago.  In particular, I haven't done much linking to other sites or used keyword phrases within the text very well.

So now, I'm considering editing and reposting.  Is this considered good or bad etiquette?  Is it somehow going to give me undeserved points, or make my blog appear on the front page as a recent blog post, kicking out the blog of someone who actually just posted something new?

Thoughts on this, please...

Judith, It is okay to edit your blog. You can change spelling, enter into corected groups, etc. You will not receive extra points. Do keep in mind, though, that you might want to edit everything at once, because if someone has checked off the "notify me of new comments", they will get an email every time you edit your post. Hope this answers your question:)

Judith:  You might also want to consider inputting all the information in the blog and then mark "DRAFT" and then go back in and edit until you get it the way you want it.

Hi Jan, thanks for the idea.  I do use "draft" now, but didn't know it existed when I first started, so those posts are the ones that need the most fixing.  I appreciate the answer!

Hi, Judith!  It seems like you've received good input already.  Of course you can and should edit your blog especially if it's a listing that's sold, under contract, or expired.  Sometimes I edit mine if I have a follow up blog and add a link to it.  Good question!
