How are you handling your MLS Data?    Are you sharing your listings to Zillow and Trulia?

Do they run ads beside your listings with another agents contact details?

Welcome to the new world of aggregators on the internet.

What will you do?

What will you ask your Broker of Record to do?

Is this what will happen for us in Toronto Real Estate as more people IDX and VOW?

David, I have had discussions with other brokers concerning this.  I've seen a tremendous drop in the number of calls on my listings in the last few years.  I don't mind other agents showing my listings, but I do mind them getting my leads.

Hello Kay,

I understand the issue and do respect both sides; but when you listen to the talking points about aggregators providing little value, not removing solds, maintaining expireds, overstating the number of given listings in available...

How is that a betterment?   Adverts beside my listing and contact details of the highest bidder?

I tried to understand a different [forum] discussion of why agents were paying extra to get enhanced MLS and whether it was worth it to post the pictures online.   My listing  My content my ads?   My leads right?

We do live in interesting times.   What if a major brand withdrew  IE RE/MAX Coldwell, C21, what then?

On the other hand, in our MLS, several local companies are trying to eliminate our website from the IDX.  Since I'm not involved, at this point I don't know the reason, expect we are knocking the socks off them with our lead generation tool on the website.  If the 3rd party companies would update correctly and eliminate the expired, withdrawns and solds, put our names by the listings, I would approve.  I am one of those agents that pay to have my name advertised on Trulia, but I stopped Zillow.  Good post.  co
