InspirationSpeechless? At a LOSS for Words?...

There's a blog Challenge I'm completing that requires writing 2 posts about how I choose TOPICS for my Blog, and how I develop the THEME.

This is the second post of 2, I will talk about Inspiration in the RAIN!

There are so many influences that contribute to my choice of TOPICS for my posts.

But IF I were ever at a loss for topics to write about, ActiveRain has a place for me to go to be inspired!!! Look in the TOP LEFT, just below the AR Logo... "Inspiration."

There you will find The AR Group "Inspiration Station." The Group has a new TOPIC each week, and it will be posted at the TOP with a Gold Star. So if you ever find yourself at a loss for words...Speechless, then Click "Inspiration" and see what the Hot Topic is!

Other Influences... If you receive emails from persons interested in buying or selling, asking questions; Turn their question into a Blog post! Share their question, and your answer. Chances are other folks had the same question. Makes for great content!

Join Groups! Maybe sometimes you want to talk about a certain topic that you think will ONLY be of interest to a small select group. You don't want to send it out to the public, OR the entire ActiveRain Community. Then go to the group that has a specific interest in the topic, and JUST POST it IN THE GROUP! You still get points for it. :)

Most Important Topics...Probably Localism!!! If you ever need a topic, all you need to do is post something about YOUR MARKET AREA. This will be the Biggest Bang for the Buck as far as creating opportunities with potential clients. This is where they will find you. You can talk about Market Reports, Local Events, Neighborhoods, Schools, Shopping, ANYTHING relevant to your local area.

I hope these 2 posts on "Inspiration" gave you a few ideas, for the next time you find yourself at a loss for words.

HAPPY BLOGGING!

Margaret and Michael...UhOh! You're getting to know me!!! Yep! I can ramble on and on. I talk too much! LOL! All my report cards as a kid had "CHATTERBOX" in the comment section. I just love to share! No one at home to talk to, (except my babies) so I chat away here on the rain!

I definitely vote for localism topics including market reports, events and places to highlight.  Just reading through the comments can often give you some great ideas too.  You could even talk about being a "chatterbox".

Well I've covered it all except market reports and Dick Greenberg kicks my tail about that on a daily basis :)  I wasn't sure what the Inspiration was so thanks for the information Cheryl and have a great Sunday!

Hi Doug! You do great Localism posts, that is where I'm definately lacking. I'm going to start doing them though, because almost NO-ONE in my City/County is doing them. When I do post to localism, it stays on the front page and doesn't get bumped for a long time. YAY! I do find localism posts about someone else's area a bit difficult to compose a comment for sometimes, but not always.

Hi John! I clicked on Inspiration a couple of times, and finally took a moment to read it. This week it was short sales. You should do Market Reports too! Just post them in a different CITY on Localism. When you click the Hyperlocal, State, County, and City, it will show your post. Pick a different city than he does, and BAM! There's John Market Report. Or, wait till the others have posted, then do yours, and you'll be at the top! ;)

I always find inspiration reading through comments, yesterday I got "very inspired" on J Philip Faranda's post,
oops! Somebody on there hit a nerve! LOL! Have a great day guys! I'm building a Cedar Fence outside. 21 degrees, but heck...it's gonna hit 43 later! Brrrrr!

Good Sunday morning!

Very good suggestions. Localisms that generate client contacts are always the best topics for blog posts.

That's so true Todd! It's never ending INSPIRATION! Especially with the kids, they see things so differently than we do at times. Very refreshing!
