Agents: It is very important that we know the rules of the Equator!  Actually it is knowing the rules of the lender you are working with.  If you are working with Bank of America - they don't do personal email responses.  Well in some cases they may, but they will always ask you to go to the Equator to respond.  Do that!

The reason that they prefer to use the Equator system is to protect themselves, the homeowner and you!  Its a win-win situation if your lender is using a secure system such as Equator. Look at the progess as a New Horizon.  For that I give all the lenders that are on or are thinking about joining the Equator system.... Right on!

Here are a few reasons why:

  • Secure and protect information sent in the message
  • Document all communication efforts in one location
  • Improve response times because short sale specialists respond to Equator messages first
  •  
  • So Agents I urge you to do your part to make sure you are using the systems that the lenders are providing to us - to help make the short sale process move forward smoothly.  We can't keep complaining about the process if we are part of the problem!!
