Most Failure Is Not Final And Is Needed For Growth

Piano PracticeI remember growing up taking the weekly piano lessons and practicing every day. Your failure early on is frustrating cause you hit the wrong notes and don't quite have the whole song down correctly. But

Most Failure Is Not Final And Is Needed For Growth

In our real estate careers and in our personal lives there is MUCH trial and lots of error till we get better. Practice makes perfect you know, so don't let your mistakes along the way embarass you. I remember early on with brand new clients I struggled to even get the key out of the key box on a door. You feel stupid, as a freshly minted agent, but you get past it. Baby steps you know.

KEEP PRACTICING and have confidence that tomorrow you will be even better than today... YOU the concert pianist!!

It is a very sad thing that people can only deal with success.  The reality is that we learn how to succeed by changing the things we did that caused us to fail.  Great post!

As you rightly point out - the key is to learn by our mistakes and not be afraid to make them.  Of course, if we can learn from the mistakes of others, that helps as well.  That is one of the benefits of forums such as ActiveRain.

Hey Gary, goood positive boost to build confidence.  I remember learning to play saxophone in fifth grade. Boy it sounded awful at first, but when I got to ninth grade, my practice had paid off.  Best of success to you this year!

Failure is a tough way to learn.  However, the lessons we learn from trial and error are lessons well learned and will help us to do better in the future.

I agree but I do wish there was a point in our lives where we knew all we need to know and failure is no longer necessary. :)

There is no better way to show learning than to show failure.  It is a hard lesson, but one usually remembered.

Even when we got the tune down pat we still need to keep practicing because we can get rusty again!  Very nice analogy!
