SEO - Adding Local Communities for Searches
One of the basic principles that I learned about SEO(Search Engine Optimization) is that content was King. Many of us have heard other SEO experts say this repeatedly all the time. One way to do this is with your website. You can simply continue to add pages to your website on a regular basis, and over a period of time, you will begin to noticed that the larger the content that you have on your website, the more it shows on up on all the search engine's first few pages. It is a proven fact that over time, when you add pages to your website with some great quality content, your website will get found, and make it’s way to Google First Page. Now, that is some Google Juice or Google Power in action.
A few months back, I decided that another way to go was to add local neighborhood communities to my website for those Home Searches in various neighborhoods throughout my market area. I was very thankful when Barbara Todaro suggested to add at least 50 residential communities, and 10 condo communities to my website. Well, I have done that and much more. Whenever I do a market report on a community, and I noticed that it was not already on my website, I immediately add it to the hyper-local neighborhoods in Active Rain, and also added it to my personal website.
Then, to take it a step further, I started adding different pages from my website in the form of a link to my Active Rain sidebar. All of these links came from my website pages, and the purpose was to drive traffic back to my website from those who were reading my blog posts. This was another way to get SEO going from my website. The more links I added to Active Rain sidebar increased my chances of having more traffic driven to my website. It has been paying off judging by the number of leads that I have been getting from my website lately. This all started with adding more pages and communities to my website. It takes time to build your website with content and pages, but the you will benefit from these actions sooner or later.
Jerry. I haven't been very good at updating my website with communities and blogs. Thanks for the reminder to get on board and make it happen.
Hi Jerry....An Early AR Member taught us to add pages to our web site, she even suggested one a day. I also created neighborhood groups here that are linked to the same neighborhood page on my web site.
I like your idea to add them to our side bar. I never thought of doing 50 communities, my thought was to focus on my farms.
Cheers...off to have a peak at your web site communities
