St. Lucie jobless number soars- unemployment down since Septmeber

Let me rewrite the headline in todays Port Saint Lucie News paper "St. Lucie jobless number soars"

"County's unemployment rate is the second worst in the state because of construction jobs continue slump with 21,000 lost across state." the subheading

Are you following me so far: here is the first line in the story:

"Unemployment on the treasure coast remains up from a year ago but is down slightly from September,"

WHY, WHY, WHY did I buy the paper. WHY, WHY, Why?

Nadia thanks for the report its fair and balanced

The media always puts an angle on everything to position it to sell the paper. Does it matter if the report is accurate or not?

At first glance I would have thought most of the jobs lost are from my area, right it said we are second worst in the state..

The reality is that we have lowers unemployment since September. The trend tells me we are getting better and the numbers soared. In the Past!

I hate that negativity, and they use it just to sell papers - We need to change their way of thinking - Stop buying the paper when they are all negative or with the famous mud-slinging. I know it not always bright and sunny but it can't be all bad.

Keep your head up and reaching for the stars.
