A few years ago when the market was just starting to slow, I used to visit all the listings in my area just to keep current and monitor the values. I noticed a set of homes in one area that were slow to sell. One day there was an open house at one of them and I stopped in
CURB APPEAL
It was absolutely gorgeous as you walked up the driveway and to the front door. Curb appeal was up and working. Then, a lovely door bell that played chimes followed by a quick hello and come in. I was instantly over whelmed with a positive and inviting flow
THE HOUSE HELD YOU IN ITS ARMS
It didn't let up either. Whether I looked around in the room I was in or glanced further around, I was not disappointed. The home was speaking to me steadily, pleasantly a sort of welcome that wouldnt stop.
WHY ARE YOU MOVING...ITS SO NICE
I was moved to ask why the sellers are selling as they have such a nice home. Small talk ensued and then the agent let me know that the whole house was staged. I was impressed as it looked like it was lived in but kept immaculate.
HOUSES SELL BUT HOMES SELL FIRST
This house sold and the houses on the left and right of it sold too but at a later date. I contacted the agent and asked him some questions in regards to staging. He said he always stages a home and always gets good responses.
SHAKESPEARE SOLD US
A good stager will bring the home out of a house. Shakespeare said...All the world is a stage and men and women are...the players...How true..William... How true
