Well it's high school football playoff time again here in Texas, and we've had some exciting matchups already.  Three teams represented the Katy area going into the first weekend.  After the dust settled only one remains in the quest for the title.

The Cinco Ranch Cougars had their season come to an end Friday night after losing their contest to the Cy-Fair Bobcats 40-27.  The Mayde Creek Rams suffered a similar fate Saturday evening as they fell to the Cypress Falls Golden Eagles 50-7.

Friday evening was much better for the Katy Tigers.  The #1 ranked Tigers rolled over Strake Jesuit 51-18 to advance to the next round of the playoffs.  The Tigers had high hopes going into this season and, after going undefeated through regular season play, are showing why they are consistently one of the best teams in the state.
