I come across a lot of clients who believe that by spreading out their furniture as far as possible, they make the rooms look larger. In reality, a negative image can be perceived as buyers wonder what the room really is used for. I try to convince my clients that they need to define their rooms and lay out the furniture so that it clearly illustrates the purpose of the room. In this older home, the dining room looked as if it were a pass through. The sellers were missing out on enhancing the great selling point of HAVING a dining room. Although the sellers didn't want to purchase a dining set, just by pulling in the pieces gave a clearer picture of the room's purpose.

:-) That's pretty funny ~ ACTUALLY that was just a very dated pole lamp that yes, I did convince them it had to go. You never know what you're going to run into. i went into one house that had animals in cages all over the place! How do you gently but directly say LOSE THE ZOO!
