What You Earn Will Match Your Mindset

“Remember that: money will always match your mindset.”

Dr. Joe Vitale, author

As I see it . . . . . . .

What you earn will match your mindset

I would like to share a short story with you on the power of positive thinking.

A number of years ago I had the opportunity to meet a Realtor® on a mission. From our earliest conversation he shared his mission with me.

Vince told with an air of confidence that he would retire on his 58th birthday and that he would live off of his investments. He also added that he would spend the winters in Florida playing golf with his wife.

Vince had a plan to invest his money wisely and to live his plan.

One day while having lunch with Vince I mentioned to him that over the years that I have heard him repeat the story to a number of people.

Now as they say the rest of the story.

Vince shared a story with me about his father. He said that his father’s dream was to retire at age 65 and move to Florida. He told me his father died at 59 years old and never lived his dream.

He told me that he was committed to living his dream about retiring at 58 and spending the winters in Florida playing golf.

That the time of his father’s death he had been in the real estate business for about 6 years and nowhere near earning the money required to retire at 58.

He created a plan to achieve his goal but with the new goal Vince had to confront a major condition in his life at the time.

He told me that he lacked the motivation to make the life changes to reach his goals and he came up with a plan. Vice would tell people about his goal to retire. He found people very supportive and he created a path of personal accountable to achieve his goals.

What you earn will match your mindset, Vince retired at 58 and still spends his withers in Florida and Vince’s son has just retired you guessed it at 58.  Your mindset has the power to move or in Vince’s case retire at 58. If you can dream it you can do it with a plan.

Hi Lou, life is full of plans. Raise our children, go on vacation, get the kids thru college.

Buy them their first car ( at 13 years old A classic car ) move to Florida and enjoy life.

All this I did  as a  single mom. I enjoy the Florida life-style , you do not have to wait until you

are 58 years old. Do it now. Time is passing us by.

The earlier you plan the more opportunity to achieve your goal. The second part is execution.
