Santa Claus Could Be A Heck Of A Real Estate Broker....

Think about it. As Santa gets older and with all the hassles with his weight, cold north pole weather, elves unionizing and addiction to egg nog, the round guy in the red suit with white fur might consider becoming a real estate broker.  Santa would be super at farming a new area of real estate prospects.  Heck he can cover neighborhoods quickly, is not afraid of door to door (or roof to roof) visits to homeowners.  He does not waste alot of time chit chatting, is well liked, always smiling or ho ho hoing. Get in and get out...can get in and out of property without making a mess and his suit always looks clean and professsional.  He stands out in the crowd so he would not be just another real estate broker. Bad weather does not frighten him ...he'll hop in the sled to to what needs to be done during the worse winter storms. He is dependable..you can count on him showing up..year after year.

santa on phone with realtor pin, mooers realtyAnimals like him..and he's patient enough to teach them to fly. Can you do that? He is sensitive..did not give Rudolph a complex over the glowing red nose business and put faith in him enough to give a rookie the confidence to pull that Department Of Transportation over -weight sleigh filled with precious cargo didn't he? And support from home...could not have a better mate. She's a good cook saying "Eat Poppa Eat" and giving him all the sound advice he needs when he is not sure he can make a deadline.  She is behind him all the way..a regular home body holding down the fort or pole while he is peddling property.  And can she knit those mittens he needs while pounding in real estate signs with 40 below winds whipping shingles off the roof of the home he just listed. Won't need a locksmith..does that touch your nose thing, and presto..inside whether there is a key or lockbox at the property.

For buyers, Old St Nick  knows exactly what everyone wants...hits the bulls eye every time.  He has an uncanny sense this way.  Listings and buyers to stay away from...got that covered too.  Rememer the big book with who's good and who's rotten in it? He only spends time with folks ready to sell and ready to buy. Lost? He will not be stratching his head in a strange neighborhood..his internal gps instincts will mean less time heading aimlessly up and down streets. And with that sleigh, traffic is no problem.  Talk about super arial photos opportunities where he's out in the open and tree top high like that! May have to help him with some new podcasts, high powered image website, property blogs and get him enrolled in a fitness class though.  With his red face color and all that extra cargo he is walking around with, he must have high blood pressure.  Should be watching his sugar too with all those platters of cookies he nibbles on..guy's got to be a compulsive snacker.  Sure Santa is busy around the holidays. And thru out the year he  has to throw down flakes of hay and to grain and water those reindeer.  But he would be a ringer for selling farms and rural northern climate spreads likes ones in Northern Maine. Think I should recruit the guy for an after christmas interview ? Wouldn't you hire the guy? How old is he anyway? Showing property by sleigh..now that's a novelty.  Just don't look up as the reindeer fly over! Happy Holidays Active Rain Community!

Another wonderful post, Andrew, but you had me with the moose print!

Love this comparison, and being married to a realtor for over hmmmmm yrs, my experience is... their job is very similar to Santa's in many ways.
