What did I decide to quit you ask? Well let me tell you.

I decided to quit listening to all the complaining. And start promoting the inspirations.

I decided to quit reading Mortgage Implode. And start reading more ActiveRain.

I decided to quit looking for short cuts. And look for ways to get it done right.

I decided to quit worring about tomorrow. And start working on TODAY.

I decided to quit allowing people to distract me from my goals. And achieve them.

I decided to quit listening to all the negative media about our market. And find the positive in everything.

What have you decide to quit doing?

I have quit worrying about the market as a whole and focused on my little niche.  It isn't all that bad ;)

11/18/2007 02:37 PM by JenRan Realty, LLC

Good job Danny! Sounds like a plan to me :-)

11/18/2007 02:39 PM by Michael La Fay & Sara Edwards (Meadow Lakes Supply Co.)

Jason, I agree. I decided to read more Jason Sardi.

Krisy, there is no guarantee for tomorrow.

Jennifer, that is what we all need to do.

Sara, it is.

Danny-I'm glad you have decided to be a quitter in this case and move on to being focused on all the great things in life that are waiting for you to grasp a hold of.  We all need to read through your post and become quitters on each of those things you listed.

Have a fabulous Sunday!

AWESOME! I quit, too. I stepped up to the plate in our market area and started a blog space to counteract negative press posts.

Danny, Fantastic list.  I'm quiting all those things too.

Actually I was already working on a couple of them so I'm off to a good start. Wonderful information.

Danny.....  I decided to stop reading positive posts like this one.  <teasing>   It's funny, I decided to start doing more weekly and monthly goal reevaluating.  Always looking for new ways to improve myself and how to obtain more business. And maybe take some advice from Daniel, stop watching some football. My team one and my 2 fantasy teams are holding on....   but maybe I should stop watching now.  PS>... good list.

Jeff, this is why you get WiFi and a laptop and sit in front of the TV so that you can BLOG and watch football.

11/19/2007 09:04 AM by Danny Thornton (Home America Mortgage, INC.)

Good post! I have decided to stop be reactive and start be proactive! Being proactive really gives one the power whereas the other sacrifices power.

Rich, that is the key element though.

Worrying, it's not productive, in fact it's paralyzing.

11/19/2007 09:24 PM by Keith Neeley, RE/MAX New Horizons (ReMax New Horizons)

Danny..... congratulations on quitting.

As hard as people find quitting the things you mentioned.... the rewards are so much greater.

It's amazing how much better your personal and business life becomes with a change in mindset.

Continued success, and have Fun,

Alan

This is probably one of my favorite posts in a long time. It is definately time to quit talking about the negatives in our industry and start looking for ways to correct them.

Back when I was in the military, I heard something from my supervisory that always stuck with me. "complaints will never get the job done, make it happen"

So from now on I will be positive and work on making my business a success story despite what the media says. Danny, send me an appraisal order...or two.

11/20/2007 08:22 PM by Benjamin Smith - Atlanta Area Appraiser (Apex Appraisals & Consulting)

Benjamin, I will do you one better, call me on Monday, and I will get you on our preferred list.

GOD Blesses!

Susie, thanks. What I hate is to pull up someones blog just to hear how crappy they have it. We all do, deal with it.
