18 Comments on Mesa County, Grand Junction Colorado Market Report
Cheryl watching, listening and learning I finally took the plunge and posted my first market report today. My next one will be coming up at midnight tonight. No jazzy charts and graphs but at least I'm on it. Thanks for giving me a nudge in the right direction. Another good job on your report my friend!
Yay! John! Way2Go my friend! Thank You! I'm heading over to take a look see right now. :)
Cheryl, Great job and looks like you did a lot of investigation on this one.
Cheryl, love the charts. I'll have to look into that link. Wow, pretty long DOM. We're at about 45 here and that feels long to most people. Although that's bound to drop since our inventory is so low.
Vince, yes, I did really check it out. The DOM stats are from the GJARA MLS Report for 2011.
Karen, I hear ya on the DOM length. There are SO MANY Realtors in our market, very competitive for the listings. I think the Listing PRICE had alot to do with the length of time on the market. The Sold Price and Listing Prices were pretty far apart unfortunately.
This is really a great market report. The number of sales sounds incredible for this area but I guess everything is probably about average for your population. Nice job of presenting this report as it's very clear and interesting to read.
HI Doug! Thanks for stopping by! We actually have a fairly large population, it's just so spread out that folks don't realize it's this populated. Given that there are approx. 45,823 households, and only 2,324 homes sold we really didn't have many closings. It's tough for our approx. 640 Realtors right now.
Mesa County is the fourth most extensive and the eleventh most populous of the 64 counties of the state of Colorado. The county population was 146,723 at the 2010 United States Census. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 3,341.11 square miles, of which 3,327.75 square miles (or 99.60%) is land and 13.36 square miles (or 0.40%) is water.
I see you are putting your new found charts and graphs website to work for you. Good for you. It looks great and the report is right to the point.
PS...maybe next time you should going me and Cindy for a wine and learn session.
Thank You! Debbie, That sounds like a plan...Now we need to find the Time! LOL! We'll make it happen! :)
Hi, Cheryl...Thanks for your nice comments on my blogs and re-blogs. No wine and learn sessions are in the plans anytime soon. I'll let you know when we do plan one. But these usually come up quite suddenly and usually after a particularly enjoyable or particularly difficult day.
Cheryl ... Thanks for your Grand Junction real estate market report and predictions for 2012.
Hey Debbie, I'll be riding through on my bike this summer, we'll be sure to get together then, if not sooner! :)
Hi Harrison, Thanks for stopping by, we can certainly HOPE for the market to improve soon.
Hope all is well, Cheryl. I'm still looking forward to more of your colorful blogs. Please let me know if there is anything I can do.
You showed us how to create these great charts and then we haven't seen you since. Is everything alright? Come back, please.
Cheryl, I'd be interested in knowing how well priced and what the condition was of the homes that sold in 30 days...bet those homes were priced right.
Cheryl
Made me think the number of solds and the other stats are something I better check out and set in memory. Just so you know, 1,441 solds in Napa County MLS last year, cheers cvc
Hi everyone! I'll be back soon! Just very busy at work, and on a remodel of a duplex, and building a HUGE Cedar fence. No rest for the weary...LOL! And no spare time for AR :( Be back soon though!
