I was recently approached by a couple of new agents who do not have much of a technical background and, who were struggling with a couple of different types of software that were supposed to help them prepare flyers with ease. After three hours, they had housing brochures that you would want your competitors to use.

What cost-effective, easy-to-use software would you recommend?

I have found postlets.com to be very easy to use for creating online flyers. They are also printable, I think. Vflyer.com is similar, but I found Postlets to be slightly more user friendly. Good luck.

I use postlets and think they look great. I also like imprev.net

Postlets.com... I agree.  I use Microsoft Publisher, as it is very powerful and you can do just about anything.  If they have have Microsoft Office, then they should have it bundled together.

There are also sites like vflyer.com to help for a price.

Third, I have my title company make mine up (for a very resonable fee), and also have my mortgage LO tie into it with a mortgage scenario flyer, that includes the home info also.

Fourth, you may want to look into virtual assistants, as they can produce great things while you're sleeping.  Don't be afraid to look into different countries such as India, as they are the most tech saavy people in the world.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Agreed, we have used postlets and vflyer and both are great. And inhouse we use Publisher to do our flyers + bunch of other marketing materials.

Dave, I struggled with Microsoft Publisher, and after pulling out hair and using foul language, I'd come up with a decent fact sheet.  Then I moved to a small brokerage with a guy who is a brilliant photographer and layout guy who does all of our photos and mailers for us.  I think his product is better than Homevisit.  But I really wrote to say your cartoon is hilarious!  I am laughing myself silly!

Let me second vflyers and postlets.  Both are free for limited numbers of postings, and the monthly fees are not too bad after that.
