The Loudoun County real estate market saw little change over the last week of January - but get ready! As March gets closer, inventory will increase and buyers will be coming from all directions.
Loudoun County saw a slight drop in active and settled properties. There are currently 871 active listings on the market in Loudoun County (expect this number to be above 1,200 sometime in March) and 193 properties closed over the past 30 days. 334 properties have gone under contract over the past 30 days - a 51 property increase from the week before.
Foreclosures represent 48 properties on the market and short sales 128 properties - making up around 20% of the market. A large number of properties still remain vacant (21%) and the rental market remains hot with over 250 active listings and 133 rented over the past 30 days.
