I have 2 children, so I always try to remember how much I have to be thankful for all year.  Of course on Thanksgiving it is nice to vocalize it and I teach my 4 year old to do the same.  The past 3 years that she has spoken she has said she was thankful for her mommy and daddy.  Of course that is nice to hear!  One year she also threw in that she was thankful for playdoh also.  This year we were discussing this and she stated she was thankful for 'trees, apples, books and swings'.  It reminded me of the kinds of things I loved when I was little.  Trees, apples, books and swings would have been up there for me as well.  So this thanksgiving I ask everyone to be thankful for trees, use less paper!  Apples, buy organic!   Books, visit your library! And swings, go to a park!

Being thankful for playdoh is a wonderful thing. I remember when it first came out, and I'm thinking it's still as messy now as it was then. Yep, our children are what we are thankful for, and they remind us of it every day,
