A Quick Update On 8 Kronquist Court (It Sold)

8 Kronquist Court

A full rundown of recent sales for properties we've previously featured is coming early next week, but in order to start the weekend with a pretty picture we thought we'd let you know that 8 Kronquist Court closed escrow this week with a contract price was $2,200,000 (4.1% under original asking). And yes, 306 Mullen is still available.

Now about that housewarming...

UPDATE (11/17): We should have noted that the asking price on 8 Kronquist had been reduced from $2,295,000 to $2,180,000 (we're blaming the oversight on an early Friday happy hour). And as such, it sold for 4.1% under the original asking (not 4.3% - again, see note about happy hour), or 0.9% over the reduced asking. And yes, it will "officially" be recorded as another sale for "over asking" (and perhaps even with multiple bids).

Eater Tastings: Shilling, Scalping, Hawking

Group hug time! It's Friday, we're burned, and thus Curbed SF and Eater SF turn to one another for content comfort. After all, restaurants and RE are damn well related to one another. And so the kvetch sesh begins:

[Plywood at Blue Bottle]

1) For the second time today, no, we are not paid to shill for Mint Plaza. And yet we must give credit where credit is due: Eater delivers the props to Blue Bottle, the infamous coffee house whose strong, American work ethic has paid off: they'll be the first to open in Mint Plaza. Projected date: January, 2008.

2) San Francisco, since when do we associate our restaurants with stadium parking lots and highway median strips? Scalp yourself raw on TablePronto, the unabashed website devoted to those who wish to hawk their prime time restaurant reservations. Wow. We really do care that much about the scene now, don't we?

3) Eater SF calls Tommy Lasorda "the one man that our peace-love-dope city has always loved to hate," And yet Fior d'Italia, the San Franciscan mainstay that claims itself as the oldest Italian restaurant in America, has offered to hawk the onetime LA Dodger manager's wine collection and book. Blasphemous. For sports fans, at least.

A Virtual Tour Of 555 Mission Street (And Downtown San Francisco)

555 Mission Rendering

555 Mission Street (downtown San Francisco between first and second) is a thirty-three story office tower that's being developed by Tishman Speyer, is "registered for LEED certification," and should be completed around October 2008.

And if you don't feel like waiting a year to see how the tower will fit into the neighborhood, check out the virtual tour and interactive digital views that include renderings for Millennium Tower, Infinity (both towers), and the first tower of One Rincon Hill.

And no, we wouldn't read too much into any towers that haven't yet been rendered.
