Turkey Jim's Covered Bridge
The Turkey Jim's covered bridge in Campton, New Hampshire, is located off NH Route 49 on Old Stephans Road. Original bridge was built in 1883 and it was re-constructed in 1958 at an estimated cost of $3,700 and is 60.5' long after being pushed off it's foundation in a flood.
This bridge was located on private property. It was in the Branch Brook Campground, which was once Turkey Jim's Turkey Farm. It is very sad the bridge once again was swept off it's foundation last summer due to the New England flooding.
Turkey Jim's Covered Bridge had a Mascot!
I hope after evaluation the bridge will be re-built!
