Do Rainers Consider This Comment Spam?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Greater Seattle

On my other blog, I noticed that agents (or their SEO person) visit from directories like Blogflux or BlogCatalog and  leave a comment on my blog posts.  These people just go down the list and comment on all the blogs with a link back using the URL textbox feature.  I consider this comment spam and I never approve these.

Just wondering if I'm being a little too harsh or if other folks consider this comment spam as well.

I think so as well, they are just looking for backlinks.

Doesn't bother me, but I have seen people call that spam.

I agree.  It does tend to defeat the original purpose of AR.

A comment or two I would give the benefit of the doubt. But anyone that does a driveby comment run on my blogs doesn't get their comments approved, because they are doing it soley for backlinks and won't be back. Just my two cents. -Charles
