Do not call list for cell phones

What a great way to help filter for your cell phone, thought I'd pass along the info and it is also great to pass on to your database.

Helpful hint to pass along . Register your cell phone on the do not call list.

In 9 days cell phone numbers are being released to tele-marking companies, and the calls will eat up your cell time at your cost.

To register and prevent this, call from your cell phone to: 1-888 382-1222

You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

This is the National Do Not Call List Number set up to remove your numbers. And it does so for 5 years.

the clock is running and you got to us just in time-- does this mean if i cold call a cell number i have not talked to before, i will not get through? do you know where i can get more detail on theis subject? thanks for the heads up.

There have been rumors of this supposed release of cell phone numbers to telemarketers for years. Snopes.com continues to say this is false info. I did go ahead and register my cell phone on the do not call list anyway just because telemarketers would somehow get my number and call me.

As far as I know, this is a fake email. Cell phones aren't being released for telemarketers. But thanks for the warning anyway! : )

My cell was beseiged with calls from telemarketeers, some of them real estate related. I registered my cell about a month ago and I have noticed a reduction in number of calls.

I did check out the snopes.com and thank you as I have never heard of that website before. I have been getting mixed reviews on this blog that I sent out. I am like many, I did it anyway too just in case and then I agree with the others but if that is true then why do I get the calls coming through?

Either way, I was glad to get all the information and feedback from everyone.
